Out and About

In 2005 we were lucky enough to travel abroad twice. Our first holiday in June/July was a circular tour in Austria Germany and back through Bruges. We stayed on several campsites - in the mountains in Austria just outside Rothenburg and then by the Neckar and Rhine rivers in Germany and finally a few minutes walk from Bruges city centre. We left the van on the sites and explored on foot by bike bus boat and cable car. Sometimes the mountain paths were steep but the views were always worth the effort. Below are a few of the places we visited and all can be recommended.

Belgium - Bruges

      

 

    Our second holiday took us to Brittany. Driving down from Calais we stopped at a site near Mont St Michel then on to the St Malo area followed by Dinan and on to the Granite Rose Coast. Unfortunately due to family illness we had to cut short the holiday there and return home but we will hopefully return in 2006.
