We have been growing hostas for a few years now. and there are many named varieties, both in pots and in the borders. Unfortunately over the years the permanent pen has become less permanent and some labels have been lost, but we still enjoy the plants - they fill shady spots, add colour and are easy to look after. From these pictures you will see that although all are shades of green, yellow and white they are all very different.

On holiday in Southern Germany one year we noticed the shiny glass balls adding colour to many of the gardens , so brought a few back with us and have added them among the hostas.
