Winter In The Garden 2004-2005

Since last Autumn we had quite a few gales and gradually an arch and some trellis began to fall down . After fighting a losing battle with the gales we decided to pull the arch and trellis down , this can only mean that there has to be yet another re-plan in 2005 - so the idea of sitting enjoying the garden has to be put on hold while we redesign.

Last week we had a few inches of snow but everything seems to have survived.

This winter a family of rats lived under the waterfall and rockery, so that may need re siting. They have now gone but Malc was able to take some good wildlife photos.

The hellebores have done really well and are lasting for ages and so are the primulas. They never seem to let us down.

Its now March 1st and the daffodils are coming out, the snowdrops are in full bloom and the crocus are just about to open. Roll on Spring - even though it means more work
