Winter and Spring

Apart from taking out a few conifers from the sides of the garden there were no major changes towards the end of 2007.

There were plenty of frosty days at the start of 2008. The fish were under a few inches of ice on the pond, and the plants took on an eerie look.

After the frosts we were once again rewarded with early Spring colour from the bulbs, primulas and helebores.

Then in mid - March the snow arrived , but luckily only a light covering , and the plants survived

By April it seemed as though the cold weather had come to an end and Spring had finally arrived
